Vienna MTF

A regulated Multilateral Trading Facility providing compliant secondary trading for security tokens and traditional securities.

Full Definition

The Vienna MTF (Multilateral Trading Facility) is a regulated trading venue operated under the Vienna Stock Exchange group. MTFs are authorised under MiFID II regulations to match buy and sell orders for securities in a transparent, non-discretionary manner.

Unlike full stock exchange listings, MTFs offer lighter regulatory requirements while still providing institutional-grade market infrastructure, making them suitable for security tokens and smaller issuances.

Why It Matters

Sails.to CrossSecurities can be listed for secondary trading on the Vienna MTF, providing institutional investors with access to compliant, regulated trading venues.

This complements the on-chain trading available through Solana: retail and crypto-native investors can trade 24/7 on-chain, while institutional investors requiring regulated venue execution can use the MTF. The securities remain the same - only the trading venue differs.

Vienna MTF integration demonstrates Sails.to's commitment to building securities that work in both blockchain and traditional finance ecosystems.
