Investor Verification
The process of confirming an investor's identity, financial status, and eligibility to participate in private securities offerings.
Full Definition
Before investing in CrossSecurities, investors must complete verification that includes:
- Identity verification (KYC) - Government ID, proof of address, liveness check
- Financial qualification - Confirmation of accredited/professional investor status
- Source of funds (AML) - Documentation that investment funds are legitimate
- Risk acknowledgment - Confirmation of understanding the risks involved
Verification is performed once and stored on-chain, enabling seamless participation in subsequent offerings without re-verification.
Why It Matters
Investor verification protects both investors and issuers. It ensures only qualified investors participate (protecting them from unsuitable investments) and protects issuers from regulatory violations for selling to non-qualified buyers.
Our verification process is designed to be thorough yet efficient - most verifications complete within 24-48 hours.
