Bankable

Securities in a format recognized by traditional banking infrastructure - CrossSecurities can CrossConvert to bankable ISIN form held via Clearstream.

Full Definition

"Bankable" refers to securities that can be:

  • Custodied by traditional banks - Held in standard securities accounts
  • Reported on standard statements - Appears in wealth management reports
  • Used as collateral - Accepted by banks for margin lending
  • Settled through traditional rails - SWIFT, Clearstream, Euroclear

CrossSecurities achieve bankable status through CrossConversion, which converts on-chain tokens to ISIN-identified securities held via Clearstream.

Why It Matters

Many institutional investors, family offices, and regulated entities require bankable custody. Their compliance policies, reporting systems, and collateral frameworks expect traditional securities infrastructure.

CrossConversion provides an escape valve - investors can start on-chain and convert to bankable when needed, or vice versa. Same security, both custody options.
